Genetik, Mikrobiom & Kognition (DE)

Das Experiment wird unter der Leitung von Ass.-Prof. Isabella Wagner (Forschungsverbund Kognitionswissenschaft, Zentrum für Mikrobiologie und Umweltwissenschaften, Institut für Psychologische Grundlagenforschung, Universität Wien) durchgeführt.

Voraussetzung:

• Alter zwischen 18 und 35 Jahren
• Deutschkenntnisse auf C1 Niveau

Beschreibung:

Die Studie setzt sich aus einem Präsenz- und einem Online-Teil zusammen.

1. Beim Präsenz-Teil (15 Minuten) an der Fakultät für Psychologie (Standort Liebiggasse 5, 1010 Wien) wird eine DNA-Probe abgenommen (Wangenabstrich) und eine kurze Aufgabe bearbeitet. Außerdem werden Sie gebeten eine Stuhlprobe abzugeben (dies kann von zuhause aus erfolgen).
2. Der Online-Teil (105 Minuten) besteht aus Fragebögen und kurzen kognitiven Tests, die von zu Hause aus bearbeitet werden können. Der Online-Teil sollte einen Tag nach dem Präsenz-Teil bearbeitet werden, die genaue Uhrzeit steht frei. Bei einem der Online-Tests handelt es sich um die "Sea Hero Quest", eine für Forschungszwecke programmierte Gaming App. In verschiedenen Levels wird dort deine Navigationsfähigkeit getestet.

Zeitaufwand:

• Insgesamt 2 Stunden. Davon ca. 15 Minuten im Labor und ca. 105 Minuten Online
• Die Aufwandsentschädigung beträgt 20 € wird nach Abschluss beider Sessions überwiesen.

Come and Experience Art! (DE/EN)

The experiment will be conducted by Stephanie Miller, Alexandra Victoria Alvarez, and their team, under the supervision of Ass.-Prof. Matthew Pelowski (Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology, Vienna Cognitive Science Hub).

Requirements:

• 18+ years of age
• English or German Skills at C1 Level
• No participation in the "Your Mind at the Art Museum" fNIRS experiment that took place at the Albertina Museum

Description:

This study is exploring how people experience and respond to a series of visual artworks.

After completing a brief pre-viewing questionnaire, you will be shown a series of artworks and can view the artwork as you normally would. Following the viewing of each artwork, there will be a series of questions about how you experienced and would evaluate the artwork. After viewing all the artworks, there will be a second brief questionnaire about your experience.

Time required and compensation:

• The experiment will take about 45-60 minutes.
• Compensation is given as a stipend of €10.00 after your study session is complete.

Art Derivatives (EN)

The experiment will be conducted by Carola Korhummel under the supervision of Prof. Raphael Rosenberg at the Laboratory for Cognitive Research in Art History (CReA) at the Department of Art History at the University of Vienna.

Requirements:

• 18+ years of age
• English skills at C1 level
• Normal or corrected to normal eyesight.
• Please don't sign up if you are colour blind.

Description:

This research is intended to help us understand how people perceive art inspired products. The study takes place in person at the CReA Lab (Garnisongasse 13, 1090 Vienna) and consists of two parts:

1. Eye-Tracking: You will be asked to look at different artworks as well as art inspired products.
2. Questionnaire: You will be asked to rate the different stimuli according to your perception.

Time required and compensation:

• The experiment will take about 45 minutes.
• Compensation is 10 EUR and will be directly handed out to you in cash after full participation.
