New Staff Member: Franz Roman Schmid

As a new prae-doctoral member of the Crone Neurocognition Lab, Franz R. Schmid joined the University of Vienna and the Vienna Cognitive Science Hub in October 2023. He will be involved in the project "Unlocking the Muse". Under supervision from and in cooperation with Dr. Julia Crone, he will use Ultrasound Brainstimulation and Neuroimaging to unravel the connections between Parkinson's Diesease and artistic expression and creativity.

Franz obtained his master's degree in cognitive science at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Besides his studies, he could gain research and work experience in Neurostimulation, Neuroimaging, and other research methods at the Medical University of Vienna, the University of Vienna, the Max-Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, and the MRI Lab at the University of Graz.
