Brownbag Session by Julia Crone

18.10.2023

On October 17th Julia Crone held her Brownbag Session on "The Role of Complex Brain Dynamics and Transformative Experiences for the Hedonic Response to Psychedelics"

Julia Crone presented current and upcoming research projects working with psychoplastogens and their effects on hedonic experiences.

In a current cluster project with the Medical University of Vienna, Julia Crone is working on unraveling anhedonia and how ketamine can work against depression: https://rudolphina.univie.ac.at/en/university-of-vienna-how-ketamine-can-work-against-depression

In an upcoming project, Julia Crone and her team will expand this line of research and work with psilocibin - a first in Austria if we aren't mistaken!

We very much enjoyed this interactive session and are grateful to Julia for sharing her work in the context of our Brownbag Session. Thank you to everyone who attended and for the open discussion! We look forward to the next two Brownbag Sessions this semester: cogsci.univie.ac.at/activities/brownbag-sessions/registration-for-brownbag-sessions/
