Study Participant Platform
The Study Participant Platform (SPP) connects researchers and study participants in psychological and cognitive science research. Through the platform, participants can take part in a wide range of studies and receive financial or other forms of compensation, while researchers benefit from centralized recruitment and access to a diverse and reliable participant pool. SPP supports many different types of studies, including behavioral experiments as well as EEG, fMRI, and field research, and provides a structured system for participant recruitment and study management.
The platform was originally established in 2019 at the Vienna Cognitive Science Hub, based on the hroot framework developed in Hamburg and adapted to the local research infrastructure in Vienna.
As part of the platform’s ongoing development, SPP is now integrated within the framework of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna, where it continues to support psychological and cognitive science research.
For current information on participation and study registration, please visit the SPP website at the Faculty of Psychology.
