For her outstanding research achievements in the field of molecular chronobiology, Viennese neurobiologist Kristin Tessmar-Raible has received the Ignaz L. Lieben Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). The professor of chronobiology at the Center for Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna was awarded the oldest and, at $36,000 (about 32,000 euros), most highly endowed prize of the Academy.
