Our second lab visit, this time held at the Department of Anthropology (Dr. Elisabeth Oberzaucher & Dr. Karl Grammer) was well-attended by PhD-students as well as post-docs from various disciplines.

WWTF-Call 2011 Cognitive Sciences

On 7 November 2011 the WWTF Board of Directors fully confirmed the jury’s funding recommendation by announcing the seven funded projects (out of 36 proposals submitted by 1 June 2011).Out of the seven actually funded projects, four were submitted by members of the CogSci Research Platform and three of those were submitted via the research platform. 

 

Gombrich-Lecture: 1st Annual Lecture of the Cognitive Science Research Platform

The 1st annual lecture of the Cognitive Science Research Platform on October 13th, this year in commemoration of Ernst Gombrich, proved to be a complete success. Prof. Dr. Patrick Cavanagh gave a keynote lecture on "The Artist as Neuroscientist".

MEi:CogSci Lecture Series

The MEi:CogSci Cognitive Science Lecture Series is a central point in the joint degree programme MEi:CogSci - Middle European interdisciplinary master programme in Cognitive Science. It is offered in cooperation with the Cognitive Science Research Platform at the University of Vienna. 


CogSci Fall Retreat

On September 26/27 2011 members of the research platform met up in Krems, Lower Austria, to discuss future prospects of the platform and joint, interdisciplinary project ideas.

4th Vienna Aesthetics Symposium: Neuroaesthetics

On June 1st 2011 renowend researchers from all over the world gathered at the University of Vienna to present and exchange latest findings in cognitive science.

WWTF-Call 2011 Cognitive Sciences

The Cognitive Science Platform offered support in the application process and proofreading services. Six proposals were submitted through the Cognitive Science Platform.

Lab Visit on 8th of April 2011

A great number of interested PhD-students participated  in the first lab visit organized by the Cognitive Science Research Platform in the laboratories of the Department of Basic Psychological Reserch Institute at the University of Vienna.
